Lazy Hazy Crazy days of summer

The flat spell continues on and on, but the cliff had a friendly crowd today, hooting each other on to little swells with the most gigantic, light boards. They were just perfect for the conditions! It's also like having a warm bath at the moment...

dare to dream...

A tiny bit of swell for the weekend? Here's a prediction for midday, Saturday.

Bali tales

Lewy shredded some massive Kahunas during his stay in Bali, but the swell had dropped off dramatically by the time anyone thought to grab a camera. His mesmerizing surfing so captivated the locals that he was later to sit round a campfire at the beach as he enthralled one and all with strange tales of far off lands, horses such as Drizzle and Georgia's Boy and their many, amazing achievements.

Had to do it...

As our flat spell continues, I couldn't resist posting this slide show of epic Merether just before we returned. It really turned it on and some crisp wide power barrels were on offer. Don't forget, Ross and Dave's Surfari and all the other Pointyhat slide shows are always available for viewing at the link first on the right. We also have a dedicated Youtube page if you ever want a video hosted.

Calling John Rambo...

Pointies was flat as a tack today (as expected), but the Viet Congesque barbed wire and organised fun on the beach with roped off swimming zones was unexpected. Looks to me like something a good solid swell (or a legendary movie commando) will take care of...

Magic

We're back! Just a couple of teasers for now, more to follow in the next few days. Pointyhat Ross ventured back across the ditch and we had a fun surfari up the coast, witnessing some awesome surf and getting a few for good measure. Merewether also served up a couple of epic days which I will show here. More soon, but here is Ross on a Burwood beach left and some crankin Merewether beaties.
