Not too bad...

A few big boomies came and banged them on the head, but they got a few as well. The ledges on the face were a bit tough, but every now and then the wind dropped, the faces smoothed off and the rights and lefts went right into shore. Bit of water over the rocks and a couple of nice ones sent Dave and Ross home pretty happy.

Blue Steel

Friday afternoon run to the pillbox worked out quite well: fairly clean lines with the occasional bigger set providing some interest. Ross continues to love the fish, Dave resurrected some short board moves and big Tranh (aka Josh) got a couple of nice ones before meeting the famous Pilly boulders on shore down the far end!

Riders of the Storm

The boys stand tall, looking for action ....

You've got to love getting changed in the pouring rain.....

freezing the charlies off...
and all for this???!!!
Dave and Ross made the pilgrimage to the 'box with high hopes and sent the word out. Dan and Big Dave F answered the call and met them there. Carlos and Tobes joined the pilgrims, but it was not a joyous crusade.
What were we thinking?!

quadrophonic

The surf was a wipeout this weekend, but I've heard more rumours of some heavy quad bike action happening off the southern end of the "Spaceships" beach. Garry "Chopper" Pettigrew and "Knievel" Carter and their kids are getting pretty good. Body armour and let's go!

Crystal clear sunny pillbox

Pillbox went off like a cracker today. Just small, but Ross and Dave sat in the sun, admiring the clear view and the offshore fun waves. Dave smacked the new fish on a rock, got a ding and broke the glass a little while Ross was waving the fish around like it was on a hook. Wonderful fun......just like a real surf!

Dawn Disaster!

5 am start seemed like a good idea at the time. Cups of coffee at the 7/11 waiting till we could see, swell reveals itself as tiny, blown slop. Not quite dawn at activity centre, then ships queueing at Green Bay.
Clarky reported glassy 4 footers on the point on Wednesday...Dave and Ross copped stormy numbers on their fish a few hours later then endured a plus two hour trip home!
Hasn't been a real good week......................
