Regular readers might think that Merewether in Newcastle has perfect surf all the time. I hate to destroy the myth, but here's a little perspective: this morning's shot!

The sad thing is that I saw the first photo and - despite the headland in the background - I immediately thought, "Sweet, Jinshan's got some surf!"...

Yes, its all relative, sadly. No one bothers back home, but I'd be all over it at Jinshan...
Apparently the Merewether conditions are expected to last all through june and july.....
