Dan reports from the weekend (bad news about Pointies, at least until winter....)"With Pointies permanent closed due to surf life saving training days, we had headed to Jinshan. Slightly more than a shore lap with loads of contestants in the water did little to inspire a session. Luckily we had a borrowed SUP that provided loads of fun.
Towards the end of the afternoon a few fishermen decided to up the casualty factor and hauled their fishing boat in to the small peak for a bit of extra fun."

Sorry to ruin the flow of this page...
I've just moved to keelung from the UK. Do any of you live up round that area? When the swell finally arrives it would be great to come out surfing with some of you, although hopefully somewhere not quite as crowded as above!

None of us are in Keelung, although maybe some of our readers are. We all live in Taipei city. If any swell arrives, try to get yourself down the coast either way...south west to Jinshan and surrounds, or south east to Dashi, Wushi harbour etc. We'll be there and so will 100s of our Taiwanese brethren! The vibe is cool though, the surfers incredibly friendly...you'll have a great time.
