Noted big wave professional surfer, Sion Milosky died at Mavericks today after a two wave hold-down where his board tombstoned not allowing him to escape the second wave crashing down. (picture above NOT of this day, but of Sion's most notable achievement, where he caught the biggest ever paddle in wave at Outer Logs last year)

R.I.P Sion. I remember surfing with him in Hawaii in '04. A great man...too much courage for his own good.
That's right big Nev....I'd forgotten you'd shared a few giant bombies with Sion. I hope to see you taking on some big swells soon in his honour.
