Sign of the times II

I'm really going to enjoy my pillbox sessions now. This is the scene today, a weekday, at Wushi south side. GP reports it was as bad, if not more crowded on Friday. Robbo probably had the right idea and headed to Donghe and Taitung over the break...will be interesting to get his report.

Thanks to the author for a good story. My opinion differs from yours, but I am willing to reconsider their views.

Where are you now Anonymous? I'd be interested to get your viewpoint from somewhere else in the world/country. I often think the "grass is greener", but when I get there I lament the fact that here in Taiwan, if I really choose, I can still sneak away and get some Ok surf with few (or no) other people. Check out our recent Taitung and Nan Ao posts. If I wasn't so slack, I reckon we could get plenty more like this...

back in maui and yes there are still plenty of little out of the way spots here that don't attract much attention and pump.
sorry dude, taiwan sucks!!!!!!

OK, you're entitled to that opinion. We do get used to a lower quality of surf, that's for sure! The biggest thing for me is the lack of any real ground swell on a regular basis. Enjoy those Maui secret spots and we'll keep hoping for some of these random swell days when we can avoid the crowds.
